2008 Jeep Renegade Concept - Diesel/Electric Hybrid

"A B-segment Jeep® concept vehicle, the Renegade is a sporty, "minimized" two-seater ideally suited for the all-weather fun of dune-surfing or rock-crawling.

"With an electric motor powering each axle, the Jeep Renegade concept is designed for a 'hang on and have fun experience,'" said Tony Shamenkov, Jeep Renegade concept principal exterior designer.

"Constructed of environmentally responsible materials, sustainability is a key theme of the Jeep Renegade concept.

"Renegade is targeted at customers in the "Stylish Green" segment of the marketplace - those who are extremely environmentally oriented, appreciate high-tech and innovation, and enjoy performance combined with style in keeping with their "green" attitude."

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee

"Jeep Grand Cherokee's design provides a contemporary return of an athletic appearance. Up front, the signature seven-slot grille, flanked by the functional round appearance high-performance halogen headlamps, boldly dominates the design statement. These round headlamps unify the unmistakable front-end appearance of the entire Jeep line-up.

"A proportionally longer bonnet and greater distance from the centre of the front axle to the base of the windscreen visually communicate a more powerful image. Helping to achieve a more athletic appearance is a flatter windscreen and sleeker A-pillar design.

"The latest model is 145 mm longer, 12 mm wider and rides on a 90 mm longer wheelbase than the previous model. Although body width is only slightly increased, the track is up by 64 mm for a wider stance and improved handling. The overall design of the bodyshell, which is 60 per cent stiffer in torsion compared to the previous model, delivers improved vehicle aerodynamics (Cd is 0.41) and enhanced vehicle fuel economy. The body is 'shrink-wrapped' to the package, enabling designers to emphasise the powerful wheelarch flares. Larger rear lights feature red and clear lenses for an upscale appearance. Overall, the Jeep Grand Cherokee preserves the right-size package that is critical for off-road use and provides nimble on-road handling."

2006 Jeep Commander 4x4 Limited 5.7 Liter Hemi

This vehicle has become one of my favorites. If it weren't for poor gas milage, I probably would have gotten one of these instead of my Chevy Trailblazer. One of the biggest advantages that the Jeep Commander has is the third row. There are many people out there that have families and don't want to drive around a mini-van. SUVs like the Jeep Commander that have a 3rd row are a good alternative to a grocery getter, plus they're a whole lot more fun!

1997 Jeep Wrangler

Back to one of the basics, the Jeep Wrangler is a classic in it's own right. As with a lot of teenagers, my dream vehicle was a Jeep Wrangler with a nice lift and 33" tires. I ended up with a 1984 Potiac Fiero as my first car, which is at the other end of the spectrum, but was a lot of fun in it's own right.

2005 Jeep Hurricane Concept

Jeep is well known for their 4x4 off-roading vehicles, but the 2005 Jeep Hurricane 4x4 Concept is the first rock crawler that I've seen them make. Being that it only seats 2 people, it's not the most practical vehicle for your every day stuff which limits the marketability of it. Instead, they were going for the ultimate off roader. If you take a close look at how the wheels turn, you'll notice that the Jeep Hurrican can spin around in place. No more 50 point turns in those tight places! Along with not one but two 5.7-liter 8 cylinder HEMI engines and a ton of clearance, you've got yourself one heck of an A/T vehicle!

2002 Jeep Willys2 Concept

This thing looks like a mini tank! You can almost see a bit of what ended up being the Jeep Patriot in the front and some of the body. Of course, the Jeep Patriot looks pretty whimpy compared to this. I wonder if anyone out there has considered converting a Jeep Patriot to look more like this?
